If you’re on the Internet reading this, you most probably have heard of the concept and appeal of NFTs – non-fungible tokens that can be kept as art pieces or even be used as investments. We’ve rounded up the coolest NFT tokens that are likely to stay cool even when the initial fad of the collection wears over, simply because they hold value in the real world as pieces that users value as well. As we move into the next wave of Web3, here are some latest and upcoming projects that promise to do so.

NFTV Social

NFTV is an NFT-based project that promises art pieces, exclusive access, rewards and earning potential all with the power of the token. It is built on strategic collaborations and partnerships, and has created a huge level of exclusivity and access associated with holding the NFTV token. The company recently announced a partnership with Fashion TV (or better known as ftv) to create FTV Pandas, an NFT collection based on original IP content. The FTV Pandas collection boasts 9,999 profile pictures of cartoon pandas uniquely generated, owning different characteristics and having different levels of rarity. Having an FTV Panda grants holders access into the NFTV ecosystem – that means receiving members-only benefits like future NFT drops, rewards while playing NFTV games, voting rights, as well as exclusive events to brands, clubs, and high-end merchants worldwide. It’s extremely high in exclusivity and functionality, which makes it all the more attractive to own. The FTV Pandas are set to launch in Q3 2022, so keep your eyes peeled!

Adidas is one of those sports brands that has made a name for itself in the real world. With the Adidas “INTO THE METAVERSE” NFT collection, holders can now bring their love for the brand, quite literally, into the metaverse. The Into The Metaverse NFT digital collectible grants holders access to exclusive adidas Origins, BAYC, gmoney and PUNKS Comic physical merchandise at no additional cost, as well as Open Metaverse virtual land experiences, co-created with the community. While the first phase of the physical merch redemption window has now closed, they have moved into Phase 2 and are promising much greater things to come for all their fans. You might want to stay tuned for these if you’re a sneaker geek!

Famous Japanese artist Takashi Murakami created his own Murakami.Flowers project, with a collection of 11,664 NFT flowers extending from the artist’s long-standing “Flowers” project, which should be familiar to fans. Murakami’s well-known flowers are expressed as dot art, making one think of the Japanese TV games created in the 1970s. This fuses traditional Japanese Nihonga painting with the 8-bit aesthetics of Nintendo’s Famicom into Murakami’s recognizable “Superflat” style. The entire NFT collection works around the number 108: there are a combindation of 108 backgrounds and flower colors that make up a field, as well as 108 fields. Each field has 108 flower images, which results in the 11,664 flower images in total. You might not know this: that the number 108 refers to bonnō, or earthly temptations in English. If you’re a fan of Japan and its culture, the Murakami.Flowers collection definitely celebrates Japanese culture and art in a way that only NFTs can – you might want to check it out!
